VJ Home: About the Vindobona Journal

The Vindobona Journal of International Commercial Law and Arbitration is a bi-annual law journal published under the auspices of the Moot Alumni Association (MAA).

The Journal focuses on these developing and sometimes challenging areas of law which constantly raise new legal problems for the business community. As international trade increases rapidly in the new millennium, the importance of international commercial law and arbitration has come sharply into focus.

Aside from other uniform laws in the field of International Commercial Arbitration, special emphasis is given to the UN Sales Convention (CISG) and other instruments and guidelines promoting uniformity in international transactions. The Journal also comprises notes on recent cases decided by national courts as well as international arbitral tribunals.

By harnessing the knowledge of industry specialists and Moot Alumni, the Journal keeps readers abreast of these developments. Backed by a distinguished Board of Advisers comprised of eminent academics and practitioners, this publication is an essential resource for anyone involved in advising on, administering or resolving conflicts related to cross-border transactions.
